NETWORK of Community Ministries, Inc.

Funding will provide upgrades to the examination rooms, improve supplies, provide better on-site patient medical education and advance clinic operations within the Adolescent and Children’s Clinic.  This clinic provides acute medical care to uninsured or uninsurable children and their siblings in the Richardson Independent School District area.  The staff is totally voluntary with 11 physicians, 17 nurses, and 72 volunteers donating time in the evening to provide clinic services for the children.  Over six hundred students were served last year.   It operates under the goal to increase student school attendance by rapidly returning treated students to the classroom.    www.thenetwork.org

 

Community Partners of Dallas

Funding will make available the NWC Safe Sleep, Safe Rides Program.  This program provides toddler beds and car seats to those children that CPS is placing in foster care or in care of another family member.  This program is part of the bigger Rainbow Room Program which is an emergency resource center providing critically needed items to the abused and neglected children served by CPS.   www.cpdtx.org

 

Interfaith Housing Coalition

Funding provides for Family Services for the Home and Hope Residential Program.  This program provides individualized, holistic programs to families.  This includes transitional housing, assessment and case management, budget and financial literacy training, employment counseling and job search, life skills and parenting classes, counseling and pastoral care, children’s educational enrichment after school, during parents’ evening classes and all day during the summer as well as a teen program with activities, counseling and mentoring.  www.interfaithhousingcoalition.org 

 

Our Friends Place

Funding provides additional living space for young women ages 18 – 24 years who are no longer eligible to reside in foster homes.  A new transitional home will be constructed with the name of “Pauline’s Place Transitional Living Center”.  Our Friends Place is dedicated to providing a foundation for young women to build from adversity by learning a self-reliant approach to their development.  These young women are required to attend school as well as work.  This program provides financial education with regards to budgeting, saving and making good choices.    www.ourfriendsplace.org

 

UTD Scholarships

To supplement the funds generated by our endowed scholarship fund, this funding allows a full scholarship to two qualified women attending the University of Texas at Dallas.  .  www.utdallas.edu
