Our Mission

The purpose of the Northwood Woman’s Club (NWC) shall be to foster interest and
participation in helping to meet the philanthropic needs of our community and to
stimulate the intellectual, cultural and social development of its members.

NWC Board of Directors

History

On April 24, 1968, a group of nine Dallas women sought to enrich their community’s programs while promoting social opportunities. Since its formation on that day, Northwood Woman's Club has been fulfilling the ideals of its original purpose and serving as a vital philanthropic civic organization.

Philanthropy

NWC had a most successful year in 2012-13 and the results tell it all: we were able to give a check for $281,000 to our chosen Philanthropies. Thanks to our member and major sponsors. NWC has a rich history of community service, and we support selected “hands-on” Community Service Projects through the generous support of our Corporate Sponsors. Collectively, our members donate tens of thousands of personal service hours for our beneficiaries and other NWC-designated community service projects. Our funding application for charitable agencies is located here.

Community

The lively and meaningful social interaction afforded by NWC membership has proven as rewarding as its philanthropic accomplishments. We enjoy active engagement in social activities in tandem with our fund raising endeavors. As NWC continues to pursue its mission each year, we look forward to growing together in strong friendship.
